Grainy: Digicam Filter Camera

Grainy is a retro filter camera that gives every shot the grainy, punchy colour of a Y2K digicam or a cheap 35mm film camera, live, before you press the shutter. Swipe through 330 presets in the viewfinder, stop on the one that feels right, and shoot. The film grain, light leak and faded glow are already in the photo. No editing later, and no watermark.

All processing happens on your phone. Your photos are never uploaded, and there is no account to make.

330 PRESETS, ABOUT 200 FREE
Six families, each tuned for a different mood:
• Digicam / CCD: cool, saturated early-2000s colour with crunchy low-light noise
• Faded film: soft contrast and lifted blacks, the disposable camera and lomo feel
• Cinematic: teal shadows and amber skin tones for street and travel
• Warm analog: a tungsten glow for evenings, cafés and parties
• Monochrome: hard black and white with real-looking film grain
• Clean & bright: airy, natural colour for food, friends and daily life

LIVE IN THE VIEWFINDER

COLLAGE, DOUBLE EXPOSURE AND STUDIO
• Collage maker: drop photos into a grid, give every cell its own preset, then add retro stamps, vignette and grain
• Double exposure: blend two shots into one dreamy film-style frame (Pro)
• Studio editor: fix exposure, colour and detail on any photo from your gallery, then put a preset on top
• Beauty: natural skin smoothing that runs on the device and works under any preset
• Text stamps: add your @handle and a place line in a typewriter-style monospace font

NO WATERMARK
Photos, videos and GIFs save clean to Pictures/Grainy in your gallery. A small optional Grainy stamp exists, and it starts switched off.

WHY GRAINY
Phone cameras are sharp and spotless. Grainy brings back the imperfect charm of vintage cameras: blown highlights, colour shifts, grain and a stray light leak. It covers the digicam look, the CCD camera vibe, the disposable camera feel and the classic 35mm film tone in a single app, ready for your feed, stories and photo dumps.

PERFECT FOR
• Y2K digicam aesthetic photos and photo dumps
• Selfies with a soft selfie filter and natural skin
• OOTD, mirror shots and friends at night
• Travel, street and café photography
• Stories, Reels and TikTok covers
