Habitable
Rapid post-earthquake damage assessment using a habitability traffic light system
About Habitable
HABITABLE is a rapid damage assessment tool for buildings following an earthquake. It is applied by trained inspectors and provides a clear habitability classification using a color-coded system:
🟢 GREEN — Access permitted
🟡 YELLOW — Access restricted
FEATURES
• Immediate results based on the most unfavorable scenario and strict safety rules.
• Traceability per inspection: inspector, date/time, GPS location, and optional signature.
• Photographic evidence for each building.
• History for multiple buildings; reopen and edit.
• Printable official label (address, date, inspector, result).
• Automatic synchronization upon connection restoration.
• Alerts for critical conditions (e.g., gas leak).
IMPORTANT
HABITABLE is a RAPID assessment tool. A Green label indicates access permitted but does NOT guarantee safety in the event of future earthquakes: a new assessment must be performed in the event of an aftershock or new damage. When appropriate, the tool recommends a detailed inspection.
