Send and receive money, transfer between EMMA and bank accounts, and pay at PWE (Pay with Equity) merchants or non Equity merchants. Scan supported merchant QR codes, pay bills, buy airtime or data, access cash through authorised agents, and receive international transfers through supported partners.

EMMA-to-EMMA transfers, transfers to Equity Bank accounts and PWE merchant payments are free. Open and maintain your EMMA digital account with no account opening or monthly maintenance fee. Other charges depend on the service and published tariff.

Choose Regular Savings for flexible saving or Term Savings to put money aside for a fixed period. See the applicable interest rate and access conditions before you confirm.

Finance when you are eligible.
Access EMMA Overdraft and term loans, subject to assessment and approval. Review your approved limit, charges, total cost and repayment terms before accepting.

EquiFarm for your farming journey.
Participating farmers can use dedicated farm accounts, access eligible agricultural finance and pay approved suppliers through EquiFarm. Programme enrolment and lending conditions apply.

Programme funds in one place.
Programs & Groups helps eligible participants access funds in dedicated programme accounts, including supported humanitarian and device financing journeys. Each programme’s rules govern how funds can be used.

View your balance and transaction history, receive confirmations, and sign in with your 4-digit PIN or biometrics on compatible devices. Use EMMA in English, French or Kinyarwanda.

Get started.
Register with your Rwandan mobile number and a supported identity document, then follow the verification steps. Pre-onboarded customers can activate with their activation PIN. Assisted onboarding is available through authorised channels.
