Finany: Chat Expense Tracker

Finany is a money book that Voi Nany, a little elephant, keeps for you. There are no forms to fill in and no categories to pick. Type “pho 50k” the way you would text a friend, and Voi works out the amount, files it under the right category and adds it to your wallet.

In a hurry? Tap the mic and say it. If one message has a few items, like “coffee 25k and parking 5k”, Voi splits them and logs each one.

WHAT VOI CAN DO

• Log both income and spending in a sentence typed or spoken with several items in one message.
• Cash, bank and e-wallet accounts. Share a wallet with family, each with a role: owner, can add, or view only.
• Debt book: type "lent Nam 500k" and the record appears. You can see at a glance who owes whom and how much has been repaid.
• Budgets are set per category. When you approach a limit Voi informs you in the app.
• Repeats such as rent, salary or internet are logged on the right day every month.
• Ask “how much did I spend this month?” or “what costs me the most?” and Voi answers in the chat.
• Overview and reports by week, month and year, compared with the same period before.
• Snap a photo of a receipt. Attach it to an expense.
• Tell Voi “remember my default wallet is the bank one” and it does that from then on.
• Create custom categories for household expenses that're unique to you.

NEW LOOKS FOR VOI

The Default skin and the default icon set are free. Three PRO skins, Thổ Cẩm (Ede brocade), Vở Ô Li (school notebook) and Đồi Bazan (coffee hills), and two hand-drawn icon packs, Nany Stickers and Brocade Geometry, are in-app purchases: pay once, keep them for good. They only change the look. Every logging feature stays free.

YOUR BOOK, KEPT PRIVATE

Money is personal. Turn on the fingerprint or face lock and Finany locks itself when you have been away for more than 30 seconds. The mic only turns on when you tap it, and no audio is kept. There are no ads. The only notification is an 8 a.m. reminder on days a repeat is due, and only if you turn it on.

Sign in with email, Apple or Google. The app speaks 16 languages and lets you pick your main currency. Voi Nany comes from Dak Lak in Vietnam; if you have ideas, send them through the support page.
