Hele-On Kako‘o Paratransit service transports riders in Hilo and Kona areas.
Hele-On Kako‘o Paratransit is a service provided by the Hawaiʻi County Mass Transit Agency for passengers with disabilities who are unable to reasonably access the fixed-route bus service. Complementary paratransit is an origin-to-destination service operated in wheelchair lift-equipped vans. Operators are able to provide additional assistance to help passengers access the service. Hele-On Kako‘o Paratransit is available within three-quarters of a mile of a fixed-route bus stop.
With Hele-On PT, passengers will be able to book rides, update their contact information, track their vehicle as it approaches, and review upcoming trip information. It will also be possible to cancel rides as needed directly from the app.
