About PCI SSC Community App

The PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) is a global forum that brings together payment industry stakeholders to develop and drive adoption of data security standards and resources for safe payments worldwide. Founded in 2006 by American Express, Discover, JCB International, Mastercard, and VISA, Inc., these card brands share equally in ownership, governance, and execution of the Council’s work.
PCI SSC launched its mobile app in 2022 as a new channel to communicate more effectively with its global stakeholder community. The PCI SSC mobile app is intended for those who are associated with payment cards including merchants of all sizes, financial institutions, point-of-sale vendors, and hardware and software developers who create and operate the global infrastructure for processing payments.
The PCI SSC mobile app has been designed as a tool for more direct engagement with the Council, including instant notification of news and announcements. The Council will continue to evaluate the needs of its stakeholder community and add new content and features as needed.
With the PCI SSC mobile app, you can:

*Opt-in to Receive Push Notifications
Interested in participating in a Request For Comments period on a particular standard? Want to know when new webcasts or speaking opportunities are announced? Want to read the latest blog post? Opt-in to receive only the information you want from The Council, in real time, as it is published. The notification feature is the easiest way to stay in-the-know about the topics that matter to you.

*Search and Save FAQs
Whether it’s a blog post that you want to save to read later, or that particular FAQ that you keep coming back to again and again, the PCI SSC mobile app allows you to save items to your own personal list. If there is a document that you refer to frequently, an upcoming training class that you want to attend, or an industry bulletin that you want to read, simply “star” it to appear in your list of Saved Items under the Menu tab.

*Easily Navigate to Helpful Resources
Need to find listings of Council-trained and validated assessors? Want to access approved
devices and payment solutions? The PCI SSC mobile app has a dedicated Listings tab so you can spend more time engaging with, and less time searching for, the information you need.

*Sign up for Council Events and Training
The PCI SSC mobile app makes it easy to see all the upcoming events and training dates at a glance so that you don’t miss out on any opportunities. From our annual Community Meetings and speaking engagements, to earning assessor qualifications, we have you covered with information about all of our events and training opportunities in the mobile app.

*Assess the Security of your Cardholder Data
Most small merchants can use a self-validation tool to assess their level of cardholder data security. The Self-Assessment Questionnaire includes a series of questions for each applicable PCI Data Security Standard requirement. There are different SAQs available for a variety of merchant environments. Check it out under the Menu tab.
