About Tacho remote for VDO DTCO
Operate your VDO tachograph from your phone.
NOT SUITABLE FOR STONERIDGE: live data does not work with a Stoneridge tachograph (SE5000). This app is therefore not suitable for Stoneridge tachographs. With the VYS Tacho app you can still download the DDD files from a Stoneridge.
Tacho Remote connects to your DTCO over Bluetooth and lets you do what you would otherwise do on the unit in the dashboard. Everything you press in the app goes straight to the tachograph.
WATCH ALONG LIVE
See what the tachograph knows about you, without doing the sums yourself:
- your current activity and how long it has been running
- driving time today, this week and over two weeks
- how much you may still drive: now, this shift, this week and over two weeks
- time until your next break and how long that break has to be
- time until your daily rest and until your weekly rest
- speed and the time of the tachograph itself
All values come straight from the tachograph.
OPERATING
- set your activity: rest, availability or work
- loading, unloading or loading and unloading
- eject the card of the driver or the co-driver
- start a printout: daily (card) or events and faults
- enter the start or end of your daily work period, with the country taken from the position of the tachograph
SCHEDULING AHEAD
You can schedule an activity for a time. A VYS app does have to be connected to the tachograph at that moment, and more than five minutes late is no longer carried out.
WHAT YOU NEED
- a VDO DTCO with Bluetooth
- your driver card in the tachograph, because otherwise the DTCO does not switch on its Bluetooth
- two pairings: first Bluetooth, then the remote control (RHMI). You switch that second pairing on at the tachograph itself. Without RHMI the app can read along but cannot operate anything.
The app speaks thirteen languages and is free.
Do not operate the app while driving.

What’s new
Version 1.0.443 · Updated October 20, 2026
Live data does not work with a Stoneridge tachograph (SE5000). The app now says so clearly and no longer connects to a Stoneridge for live data. Plus minor improvements.
