About tourlet

Tourlet keeps one trip in one place: the places you're going, the legs that join them, and a day-by-day plan for what happens once you're there. Built for the trip that crosses cities — a flight, a train, a ferry, a bus, a drive — not a single-destination planner with nowhere to put the journey between.

A TRIP, PLACE BY PLACE

A trip is a sequence of places joined by legs. Add a place, add the leg that gets you there, and fill each place's own day-by-day plan: a stay, an activity, a local ride, a note — whatever actually happens that day.

EVERY TIME IN ITS OWN TIMEZONE

Nothing is converted to a "home" clock. A place shows time in its own timezone, and a leg that lands the next day says so — the overnight train that leaves at 23:40 and gets in at 07:15 the day after shows both, plainly, so you know which day you're reading.

WHAT'S NEXT

Open the app on travel day and the trip up top already knows what's coming: the next leg or the next thing on today's plan, with how long until it, so you're not hunting through a full itinerary standing at a gate or a platform.

ON YOUR WATCH (WEAR OS, WITH PRO)

Tourlet has a Wear OS app for today's plan, sent over from your phone:

• The "Itinerary" tile — today's day and the next three things on the plan, one swipe from the watch face
• The "Next stop" complication — the time and name of what's next, in a slot on your watch face
• The app itself — all of today's plan on one scrolling screen

THE MAP (Google Play build)

A map of the trip with its stops joined in the order you visit them, and place search as you type, both through Google Maps. It draws the trip; it does not follow you — nothing about where you are is read or sent.

SIGNING IN

Sign in with an emailed code, or with your Google account (Google Play build). Signing in is free by itself and does not require Pro — it's what an invitation and syncing need, nothing else.

FREE, IN EVERY BUILD

Creating, editing and reading trips; up to 10 trips of your own; trip numbers; the planned budget for a trip; the map with its stops joined; and place search. Trips somebody else shared with you don't count against the 10.

TOURLET PRO — SEVEN DAYS FREE

Pro is a subscription, monthly or yearly, with a seven-day free trial on both. It adds:

• Sync — the same trip on your other phones and on the web app
• Sharing a trip by invitation — accepting one you're sent is always free, whether or not you have Pro
• Sending the plan to a paired Wear OS watch
• More than 10 trips of your own

Planned, not in this release yet: attachments, the trip's actual cost next to the planned budget, more than one itinerary per trip, a programme view, export, a home-screen widget and reminders.

PRIVACY

A trip lives on your phone and stays there unless you sign in and turn sync on. Turning sync on is not end-to-end encrypted: Tourlet's own server can read what it stores, protected by TLS in transit and by who can reach it — not by encryption it can't undo. If that matters to you, read the full policy at tourlet.gpm.name/privacy before you turn it on.

The Google Play build links Google Maps and Places, which is why it declares the location permission even though Tourlet's own code never reads your location. The store-free build has no map and no place search yet.

Android 8 and later.

What’s new

Updated October 5, 2026

Explore: browse trips others published, by region, budget and length, make one yours, publish your own. My Maps export and import, and weather for every stop (Pro). Each day says where you sleep; invites on the home screen. Six notification channels, an evening summary, your own reminders, on time even asleep. A side rail on tablets and foldables; nothing lost when you fold or rotate. Sync status as an icon; a shorter pull to refresh. Fixes: trips joined without Pro, stop photos, two crashes.
