Sudoku: Wake Up Your Brain

Fill the empty cells and the board is done. That is the whole game.

■ Your first board is 4x4 with 6 blanks
New to sudoku? You will not meet an 81-cell grid on the first screen.
You start on a 4x4 grid with 2x2 boxes, move on to 6x6, and only then to 9x9.

■ You never pick a difficulty
No easy / medium / hard menu. Someone new has no way to know where they belong.
The number of boards you have finished is your level, and your level picks the board.
And only ONE thing gets harder per step - a step that adds blanks keeps the thinking
the same, and a step that deepens the thinking keeps the blanks the same.
When both rise at once, that step becomes a wall.

■ A mistake does not end the board
Put a number in the wrong place and the cell turns red and the mistake count goes up.
There is no "three strikes, start over". You see it, you fix it, you keep going.

■ Notes, undo and eraser
Not sure yet? Turn notes on and jot small candidates into the cell.
When you place a number, that candidate is erased from its row, column and box for you.

■ Stuck? Take a hint
A hint fills one cell. Not any cell - the one that logic can solve right now.
On your first 10 boards the first hint is free; after that hints cost stars, and when you are short on stars you can watch an ad instead.
Finish without a single mistake and the board is marked Perfect, even if you used hints. Keep the streak going to earn more gold.

■ Techniques collect in a book
In sudoku the wall is not the rules, it is learning how to look.
Every way of seeing you actually used gets a name, an explanation and a page:
naked single, hidden single, locked candidates, naked pair, hidden pair, X-Wing.
The ones you have not met yet tell you which level they start from.

■ An avatar grows with you
Every finished board raises your level, and your avatar takes on a new look at each stage.
Helpers join you one by one, and Numberland in the sky grows with you.
Collect free stars every day and compete in weekly, all-time and gold rankings.

■ You will not run out of boards
Boards are generated inside the app, so there is no "that was the last one".
The same level is the same board on every device, so records are comparable.
