About Nutrician: Macro Food Tracker
Nutrician tells you what you ate, and where every number came from. Type what you had or take a photo. Calories and macros come back in seconds. There's no database to search and no form to fill in. Maybe you're building muscle. Maybe you're on a GLP-1 and food has got complicated. Maybe you just want to stop guessing. The job is the same either way: know what you actually ate, and whether you got enough protein. WHERE THE NUMBERS COME FROM Most food apps hand you a calorie count and let you assume it's right. We show you the source of every figure. Read off a label. Matched to a food database. Taken from a restaurant's published data. Corrected by you. Estimated from a photo, with a range attached. And when we can't work something out, we say so instead of picking a number that looks about right. The AI writes the sentences. It doesn't write the numbers. Those get filled in from what you logged, and anything the model states on its own is stripped before it reaches you. YOUR DAY AT A GLANCE Home is a dashboard, not a chat log. Protein, carbs and fat as dials you can read in a second, calories and water beside them, today's meals underneath. The conversation is one tap away. A new account starts from published daily values, not empty rings, and switches to yours the moment you set them. PROTEIN IS A FLOOR, NOT A CEILING Tell us what you're working toward and the app talks to you about that. It isn't a weight-loss app and it won't nag you like one. - Protein is a number to reach, not one to stay under - Calories are a floor too, and we never warn you for eating too little - No shame copy, no streak guilt, nothing sold back to you for a missed day IF YOU'RE ON A GLP-1 Small portions, not much appetite, protein matters more than ever. That's normal here, not a problem to fix. - A low-calorie day on the medication isn't a failure, and we don't call it one - Only ate half? Say so and the numbers rescale. Or photograph what's left - Shot days, side effects and appetite changes go in the same box as your food - Symptoms that need a clinician send you to your prescriber, not to a food tip We promote no medication, supply nothing, and take no money from any prescriber or pharmacy. APPLE HEALTH Your meals go out to Health with their water and micronutrients, so your other apps can see them. Weight comes in, so your trend stays current. Activity comes in too, and that one matters: a hard day yesterday raises today's protein and calorie floors. You spent it, so you get to eat it back. RECIPES A recipe book you can cook from. Photograph a recipe or type one in, and it comes back with its nutrition worked out. Share yours with everyone else or keep it to yourself. WHAT ELSE IS IN IT - Photo logging where your own words beat what the camera guessed - A suggestion for what to eat next, built from meals you've logged - Fix any meal's figures and your version becomes the record - Restaurant menus matched to where you are, before you order - Weight, water, measurements and symptoms, same chat box - A plain summary to hand your prescriber or dietitian - Streaks without the dark patterns. Rest days are free - CSV export and saved meals WHAT WE CAN'T DO Portion size is the hard part of tracking food and nobody has solved it, us included. A database entry is an average, not a measurement of your plate. Even a nutrition label is a range: federal rules let the protein run as low as 80% of the printed value and the calories as high as 120%. We won't tell you we're the most accurate app. Everybody says that and you can't check it. Here is what you can check: every figure shows its origin, and our guesses don't look like our facts. FREE TO TRY A seven-day trial, then a free tier you can stay on as long as you like. Precision is $9.99 a month or $99 a year. Nutrician is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Protein targets, medication questions and symptoms belong with your prescriber.
What’s new
Version 1.3 · Updated October 28, 2026
This is the biggest update since we launched. Most of it has been arriving quietly over the past month. The Apple Health part needed this build. SCAN A PACKET Point the camera at a barcode and the nutrition panel comes back. No typing, no searching, and it costs nothing. No barcode on it? Photograph the nutrition label instead and it reads the printed panel straight off. A photo already in your library works as well as a fresh one. A scan hands you the facts and a button. Nothing gets logged behind your back. IS THIS ONE OK FOR ME? A scan now answers the question you actually have while you are standing in the aisle. Your allergies and the way you eat are both part of the check, and the warning shows every time rather than waiting for a reason to appear. APPLE HEALTH Your meals now go out to Health with their water and their micronutrients, not just calories, so your other apps can see the whole picture. Weight comes in, so your trend stays current without you typing it twice. Activity comes in too, and that one changes how the app talks to you: a hard day yesterday raises today's protein and calorie floors. You spent it, so you get to eat it back. Nothing is ever subtracted for sitting still. A HOME SCREEN THAT IS A DASHBOARD Protein, carbs and fat as dials you can read in a second, calories and water beside them, your meals underneath. The conversation is one tap away when you want it. Fold any widget down to a thin bar if you do not use it, and it stays folded on every device you sign in on. The settings page is gone, replaced by one control block that sits next to whatever you are looking at. There is also a suggestion for what to eat next, built only from meals you have actually logged, and a quicker way to log one of your regulars again. NUTRIENT BALANCE A score above the dials that reads how balanced the day is, not how complete it is, with the published range it is measured against named on screen. It will not punish you for eating plenty of protein. RECIPES A recipe book you can cook from. Photograph a recipe or type one in, in any language, and it comes back with the nutrition worked out. Keep yours private or share it. You can edit your own whenever you like, and you can ask the coach to write you one, up to five a day. SUPPLEMENTS Log what you take, including creatine, with steppers for the dose instead of a keyboard. When a label gives a vitamin in IU, the app asks which form it is rather than giving up on it. YOUR WEEK Your last twelve weeks side by side, and each day measured against what is normal for you rather than against a stranger's average. SMALLER THINGS - Save any meal with a star, and get it back in two taps - Pounds, stone and kilos all convert properly now. One stone stopped being read as 11 kg - Terms, Privacy and the two reference papers now live in the You panel, where you can actually find them - A food database record whose macros contradict its own calories is refused instead of quietly repaired. We would rather say we do not know - A cereal that called itself keto no longer gets away with it Everything here came out of people telling us what was wrong. The chat box is still the fastest way to reach us.
