Inkelle 1.8: notes that answer, quiz and grade. Highlights - Cited AI answers: tap a citation to jump to the exact page of the original note, with the relevant lines highlighted. Works for handwritten notes and PDFs. - Socratic tutor: turn on tutor mode in AI chat and it asks one guiding question at a time, hinting only after you try. Save sticking points as flashcards in one tap. - Course-wide AI: summaries, quizzes and flashcards can now draw on a whole notebook, a tag, or linked notes, not just one note. - Handwritten answers with AI grading: write your answer during review, flip the card, and AI compares it with the back, suggesting a grade with feedback and missing points. You always make the final call. - Better flashcards: handwrite card faces, and export a captioned explainer video clip. - Connected notes: canvas links and note links now work together; discover possibly related notes and link them in one tap; review due cards for a concept and its neighbouring notes; smart folders can filter by link count or orphan notes. More improvements - Much smoother ink replay, even on dense, long notes. - Search, zoom-writing and ink replay now work in continuous scroll mode. - Search results and AI citations highlight the matching lines in handwriting and scanned pages. - Reference panel and presentation mode now show PDF backgrounds, templates, ink and all annotations accurately. - Full text box styling: size, weight and color. New text boxes reuse your last style. - Optional eraser auto-switch back to your previous tool; organize custom templates into categories. - iPhone: due-card badge on the Review tab, layouts better fitted to the phone screen, haptic feedback when grading. - If transcription fails, your recording is kept and you can retry. Privacy and security - AI features are now off by default. Existing users keep their current setting after updating; new users can turn AI on in Settings > AI Assistant. - Stronger protection for stored API keys and updated privacy manifests.
