Blip: Offline Chat Nearby

Chat even when there is no internet.

Blip finds people near you over Bluetooth and lets you talk to them. No Wi-Fi, no mobile data, no account.

■ Made for moments like
· Subways, planes, basements — anywhere without signal
· Festivals, concerts, campus — when you want to say hi to someone right there
· Travelling without roaming

■ How it works
· You only see people within Bluetooth range (about 10-30 m)
· Messages go directly between two devices. They never pass through a server
· One-to-one chats are end-to-end encrypted

■ Campfires
Open a small room for up to 5 people. When the host leaves, the campfire goes out.

■ Footprints
People you pass by are remembered. Meet someone often enough and they earn a badge. Location is never recorded.

■ Privacy
· We never ask for a phone number or email
· We do not collect location
· Conversations stay on your device and disappear after 7 days

■ Good to know
· Someone nearby needs the app too
· Bluetooth cannot guarantee delivery
· The 5-person limit is a Bluetooth constraint and cannot be raised by purchase
