Top5: Most-used apps widget

You have dozens of apps on your phone, but how many do you actually open every day?

Top5 is a home screen widget that keeps just those few within reach.
It looks at your recent usage time, picks your 5 most-used apps, and swaps them in the widget automatically whenever the ranking changes.

■ Why I made it
I only use the apps I use. Most of the others I hardly ever open.
But every time I installed something, my home screen filled up with icons I never tapped, and I had to dig through them to find the apps I open every day.
"I wish the apps I actually use would just gather in one place, ready to tap."
Top5 was built from that one thought.

■ How it works
• Allow "Usage access" once after installing — that's it
• Adds up your usage time over the last 1, 3 or 7 days and picks the top 5
• Recalculates every 15 minutes, 1, 3 or 6 hours and swaps the apps in the widget
• Tap an icon in the widget to open that app right away
• See the current ranking and each app's usage time inside the app
• Time spent on the home screen doesn't count — only apps you actually open
• Available in 9 languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Portuguese

■ A home screen you never have to tidy
Making folders, moving icons, clearing out unused apps — Top5 does it for you.
When the apps you use change, the widget changes with them.

■ Privacy
• Usage data is only used to calculate the ranking and never leaves your phone
• The internet is used only to confirm Google Play purchases
• No sign-up, no ads

■ Good to know
• "Usage access" is a permission you turn on yourself in Android settings. The app takes you straight to that screen.
• On some devices with aggressive battery saving, updates may be delayed. Set Settings > Apps > Top5 > Battery to "Unrestricted" to keep it on time.
• The widget is 4×1 and can be stretched horizontally.
