Oscivox is a precise, beautiful tone generator for your phone. Pick any frequency from 1 Hz to 22,000 Hz, choose a waveform, and press play. You get a clean, continuous tone, and a live oscilloscope shows the wave as you hear it.

Whether you are testing speakers and headphones, tuning an instrument, checking your hearing range, or exploring how sound works, Oscivox puts a signal generator in your pocket.

WAVEFORMS
• Sine: the pure tone
• Square: bright and buzzy, rich in harmonics
• Triangle: softer than square, with a hollow character

PRECISE FREQUENCY CONTROL
• Full range from 1 Hz to 22,000 Hz
• Tap the big number and type an exact value, such as 440 or 1.5k
• Logarithmic slider that makes low and high pitches equally easy to reach
• Plus and minus buttons that change the pitch by exactly 1 Hz. Hold to repeat and speed up
• One-tap presets: 60 Hz, 432 Hz, A4 440 Hz, 528 Hz, 1 kHz, 10 kHz

LIVE VISUALS
• Animated oscilloscope that responds to frequency, volume and waveform
• Readouts for the wave's period, its wavelength in air, and the nearest musical note with its offset in cents

HEARING SAFETY
Start with the volume low and turn it up slowly. Very low frequencies may not be reproduced by phone speakers, and very high frequencies can be uncomfortable or inaudible. Take breaks, and stop if anything sounds painful.
