About FSP Apotheker
Preparation for the specialist language exam for pharmacists with a degree obtained abroad – nationwide. The exam is based on the resolution of the 87th Conference of Health Ministers from 2014 (https://www.gmkonline.de/beschluesse.html?id=179&jahr=2014) and has the same structure everywhere: three parts of twenty minutes each.
Independent learning platform, not offered by any authority or chamber.
30 cases, 1,484 conversation steps, 930 answer sheets, 301 examiner questions, 655 specialist terms. All offline.
WHO THE APP IS FOR
For pharmacists undergoing the recognition process. Listening comprehension and professional expression are tested – explicitly not pharmaceutical expertise. The app therefore focuses on speaking and formulating, not on recall.
ONE MEDICINE PER CASE
In the medical examination, a specific clinical picture is the focus. For pharmacists, it's a package: a finished medicinal product with active ingredient, dosage form, and dosage—and a problem that becomes apparent during over-the-counter sales.
The thirty cases are not repetitive. Each presents a different core conflict: sun exposure while taking doxycycline, discontinuing a beta-blocker without consulting a doctor, ibuprofen while taking apixaban, a hot bath while taking a fentanyl patch, iron supplementation concurrently with levothyroxine.
The outcomes also vary: dispensed, dispensed with conditions, not dispensed—sometimes calling the doctor's office the same day is the right decision. Prescription and over-the-counter medications are presented side by side, just as they are on duty.
THE FIVE PARTS FOR PRACTICE
1. Consultation—Step by Step. Each step indicates which consultation point has been completed and what the commission looks for.
2. AMK Report Form—31 fields in 8 sections, completed field by field.
3. Colleague Discussion — Handing over the information to the licensed colleague, in blocks, including the relevant section where the product information is cited.
4. Examiner Questions — 301 questions with short, spoken answers.
5. Terminology — 655 terms, both technical and lay, quizzable in both directions.
THE AMK REPORT FORM
The second part is documentation. It replicates the form used by the Drug Commission of the German Pharmacists: patient, medication, suspected case, course of illness, pre-existing conditions, findings, measures, report.
Practice it as it is created: Above each field are the questions used to gather the information. Only then can the entry be revealed. Where nothing was to be gathered, the field remains empty — not being able to gather information is not a gap, but inventing it is.
FURTHER FEATURES
• Introduction upon first launch, accessible at any time
• Search by drug, active ingredient, and drug class
• Progress tracked individually for each section, with learning days and study series
• Bookmarks: the app resumes where you left off
• "Report an error" — a correction is just two taps away
• Works completely offline
YOUR PROGRESS
Complete when each unit has been completed twice.
DATA PROTECTION
The app sends nothing. No account, no registration, no advertising, no analytics services. Your learning progress remains on your device.
NOT FOR PHYSICIANS
This app is designed for the pharmacist's examination. For the medical German language proficiency examination, there are other apps in the same series — FSP Trainer, FSP Lower Saxony, FSP Düsseldorf.
NOTICE
Independent learning resource. Not an offer from a Chamber of Pharmacists, the AMK, or the ABDA.
The content was created independently. They do not replace specialist information or textbooks and do not constitute individual advice. The current specialist information is always authoritative.
The procedures and requirements are determined by the individual states and chambers; these can change and differ from one another, and only the information provided by your chamber is binding. This app does not predict which topics will appear in an exam.
