About FSP Trainer: Fachsprachprüfung

Preparation for the medical German language proficiency examination for physicians with a degree obtained abroad.

Independent learning resource, not offered by any government agency or professional association. The examination is based on the resolution of the 87th Conference of Health Ministers: https://www.gmkonline.de/beschluesse.html?id=179&jahr=2014

25 fully developed case studies, 541 conversation steps, 293 examiner questions, and 1,507 medical terms—all offline.

THE MEDICAL HISTORY INTERVIEW AND THE MEDICAL HISTORY FORM SIDE BY SIDE

This is the core of the app. The conversation between doctor and patient unfolds on the upper half of the screen, question by question. On the lower half, the medical history form grows accordingly—by the exact line generated by each question.

Both halves share the color of the corresponding medical history section. This allows you to see immediately which question generated which line in the documentation. Tapping a line takes you back to the relevant question.

Each step explains why the question is being asked and what the Commission is looking for.

For each step, you will find an explanation of why the question is being asked and what the Commission is looking for. THE FOUR PARTS

1. Anamnesis Interview — Interview and anamnesis form, line by line

2. Patient Presentation — The presentation to the panel, structured in blocks, in spoken language
3. Examiner Questions — 293 questions with short oral answers

4. Terminology — 1,507 terms in German and Latin, searchable in both directions

THE CASES

Acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, syncope, hypertensive crisis, pneumonia, bronchial asthma, sleep apnea syndrome, gastroenteritis, appendicitis, cholelithiasis, pancreatitis, gastric ulcer, reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, pyelonephritis, urolithiasis, hyperthyroidism, diabetic ketoacidosis, gout, stroke, herniated disc, epileptic seizure, cervical spine syndrome, ankle fracture, side effects a chemotherapy.

TECHNICAL TERMS THAT THE EXAM REALLY REQUIRES

In addition to anatomy, diagnoses, and examinations, the glossary contains two groups that are particularly important in the medical terminology exam:

• Patient language — "seeing black" and presyncope, "water retention in the legs" and leg edema, "blood thinner" and anticoagulant

• Abbreviations from the medical history form — VE, VO, VM, C2, a.e., RR

INTRODUCTION ON FIRST TIME

Four short screens explain what makes this app different — especially that each unit counts twice towards exam readiness. Anyone unaware of this will work through everything once, see 50 percent, and mistake the statistics for error.

Skipable at any time.

YOUR PROGRESS

A score shows your progress. You will achieve 100% if you have worked through each unit from all four sections twice—once to familiarize yourself with it, and once to solidify your understanding.

One strong section won't compensate for a weak one: The exam requires all four. The statistics show each section individually.

The app remembers where you left off—for each case and each list.

REPORT AN ERROR

An incorrect threshold, an unfortunate phrasing, a term that's simply wrong: In every case, for every examiner question, and for every term, a single tap brings up a pre-prepared message—the relevant section is already included.

DATA PROTECTION

The app sends nothing. No account, no registration, no advertising, no analytics services. Your learning progress remains on your device. An internet connection is not required.

NOTICE

Independent learning resource. This app does not represent any government agency and is not an offer from a medical association or examination board.

The cases, discussions, examiner questions, and technical terms were created independently. They do not replace medical textbooks or current guidelines and do not constitute medical advice. In case of doubt, the currently valid guideline applies.

The procedure and requirements for the medical German language examination are determined by the state medical associations and may vary. Only the information provided by your state medical association is binding.
