About STEP Academy

Founder: Mr. Vishva Mohan is B.Tech -IIT Delhi (JEE 201) and MBA – University of Notre Dame, USA (GMAT 760) and himself teaches and mentors STEP Academy students. With deep commitment for transforming lives through education, he retired voluntarily from Civil Service (UPSC rank 479 with Physics and Mechanical Engineering optional subjects), when he was posted as District Magistrate and Special Commissioner (Food Safety), GNCTD; and has set up STEP Academy. Even before setting up the Academy, he has taught pro-bono for 20+ years and has produced many successful engineers, MBAs, policy makers, and entrepreneurs.

Goal: Although a private venture, STEP Academy is not for commercial returns, but to restore joy and fascination in learning. We strive to demonstrate through the success of our students that joyful learning is a sure route to success - in entrance exams, and life.

Method: We don’t cater to volumes; we work with each student, individually and in small groups, for as many hours as it takes, to maximize each one’s performance. For us, best students are not just those who are already toppers. But those who have a determination to give their 100% plus. Unique Foundation Program (For classes VIII to X):

STEP Academy Foundation program does not require student to take a pre-mature call on whether he/she is interested in Engineering/ Medicine/Law/Management/ Studies abroad etc.Instead, the student is given strong exposure to Science, Communication, Math, Sciences and Reasoning; And his/her relative strength in different subjects is tracked. By the time (s)he has completed Class X, the student not-only makes an informed choice of the educational area most suitable for him/her, but has also built a secured foundation to excel in that chosen area during XI-XII, be it IIT JEE/NEET/ SAT/CLAT/BBA/Design or any other endeavour.
