VanLife brings together over 2,500 places to spend the night in a van, camper or motorhome in Spain and Portugal — municipal aires, car parks, campsites and camper parks — and for each one it tells you what is actually known about its legality, and where that comes from.

LEGALITY, NOT RUMOURS
• Every place carries a status: public and legal, private (paid), tolerated, or recently reported.
• The "Verified" seal tells you where it comes from: for a public aire, its by-law or council notice; for a campsite, its licence or the business's own website. When there is a link, you can open it from the listing.
• If nobody checks it again, the seal expires. And "tolerated" means no known rule forbids it, not that there is a permit. We tell it like it is.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED, ON ONE PAGE
• Services: drinking water, grey and black water disposal, electricity, wifi and showers.
• Price, maximum stay and whether awnings and chairs are allowed.
• Height limits: if we know a place's maximum height, we tell you whether your vehicle fits; if we don't know it, we say so.
• Sun and shade: where the sun rises and sets, so you can park in the cool or in the warmth.
• The 7-day forecast and the best night to stop.
• Nearby fuel stations with official prices from the Spanish Ministry (Spain only), updated daily, and which ones have showers.

YOUR DATA
We don't sell data. The first time you open the app you choose what to share: usage analytics start off and crash reports start on, and you can change either at any time from Profile. Even if you say no to everything, we anonymously count how often each listing is opened. You can delete your account from within the app.

VanLife is available in English, Spanish, French and German.

VanLife is not an official app and is not affiliated with any public body. Fuel prices come from the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (sedeaplicaciones.minetur.gob.es); each place's rules come from its local council and are linked from the listing when available.
