About SciREPL

SciREPL is a mobile-first scientific notebook that runs Python, R, Prolog, Bash, and JavaScript — all in the same notebook, with per-cell language switching. No server. No setup. Just open the app and start computing.

──────────────────────────────────────
🔬 MULTI-LANGUAGE NOTEBOOKS
──────────────────────────────────────
Mix Python, R, Prolog, Bash, and JavaScript in a single notebook. Each cell runs in its own language kernel — switch languages per cell, just like Jupyter, but fully on-device.

──────────────────────────────────────
📡 FULLY OFFLINE — POWERED BY WEBASSEMBLY
──────────────────────────────────────
All execution is local. Python runs via Pyodide (WASM), R via webR, SWI-Prolog via swipl-wasm, and Bash via brush-wasm (Rust reimplementation of coreutils). Runtimes download once and cache for offline use. Your data never leaves your device.

──────────────────────────────────────
🐍 PYTHON — WITH NUMPY, SYMPY & MATPLOTLIB
──────────────────────────────────────
NumPy and SymPy are preloaded. Install pure-Python PyPI packages with %pip install. Plot with Matplotlib (inline PNG) or interactive Plotly charts. LaTeX math renders inline from SymPy expressions.

──────────────────────────────────────
📊 R — FULL TIDYVERSE SUPPORT
──────────────────────────────────────
Run R with install.packages(), ggplot2 dark-theme integration, and interactive Plotly charts via plotly(). Includes sample workbooks for statistics, tidyverse data wrangling, and ggplot2 visualizations.

──────────────────────────────────────
🧠 PROLOG — FULL SWI-PROLOG ENGINE
──────────────────────────────────────
Assert facts, write rules, and query solutions — full SWI-Prolog via swipl-wasm. Cross-kernel WASM FFI lets Python, JavaScript, and Prolog call shared Rust WASM libraries.

──────────────────────────────────────
🗂️ SHARED FILESYSTEM ACROSS ALL KERNELS
──────────────────────────────────────
SharedVFS is an in-memory filesystem accessible from every language kernel simultaneously. Write a file in Python, read it in R or Bash. Files persist across sessions via IndexedDB.

──────────────────────────────────────
📁 NOTEBOOKS & EXPORT
──────────────────────────────────────
• Multi-tab notebooks with rename and drag-and-drop reordering
• Import/export .ipynb (with outputs), .py, .pl
• Export to HTML, Markdown, PDF, DOCX, or LaTeX
• Session auto-saves

What’s new

Version 1.3.2 · Updated September 14, 2026

• Closed workbooks now stay closed after a restart. Closing the final workbook shows an export reminder, and you can restore that reminder in Settings. • Android can now import workbook files that cloud providers label as generic binary files. • Clearer screen-reader names and stronger contrast improve the header, Tour, output labels, and Run button.
