Chitra Jodo: Art Card Swap

Chitra Jodo is a calm jigsaw puzzle played with cards. A painting is cut into cards and shuffled on the table. Swap the cards back into place, watch matching neighbours snap together, and hang every finished picture on your own gallery wall.

How to play
- Drag a card onto another card and the two trade places.
- Cards that belong side by side join into a group.
- Drag a whole group to move it in one go.
- Put every card back and the picture comes to life.

Rebuild public-domain paintings and prints from museum open-access collections and detailed studio art drawn for this game: botanical prints, bird studies, Indian textiles, Japanese landscape prints, kites over old city rooftops, the white salt desert, monsoon fields, harbours at sunset and much more. Every picture in the 300-level Journey is different.

Read the label
Each finished picture hangs in a gilt frame with a museum-style label: title, artist, year, place and a short note about it. Visit your gallery any time to see your pictures again at full size.

Take each picture slowly
- No time limit, no lives and no way to lose
- Undo a move or start the picture again at any point
- Peek at the whole picture, or let a Hint place a few cards
- Replay finished pictures with fewer or more cards
