DBF File Viewer

DBF File Viewer helps you open, inspect, edit, save, and export supported DBF database files on your Android device. Choose a .dbf file, review the table, update records, and write the result back as DBF or as another document format.

Open a table
Pick a file from device storage. DBF File Viewer reads supported dBASE and FoxPro tables and shows columns and rows in a table viewer. Search records for the text you need, and review field details before you change anything.

Work with records
Add a new record, fill each field, and save it into the table. Tap a row to edit values. Delete a record when you no longer need it, with a confirmation step when that option is on. Show deleted rows only when an older file still keeps those marked rows and you need to inspect them.

Save with care
Use Save to write changes into the original file, or Save As to create a new file and leave the original untouched. Confirm before overwrite when you want an extra check. Keep a backup before you edit an important database. Check key values after each save.

Export your data
DBF File Viewer includes an export center for CSV, JSON, XLSX, HTML, TXT, and DBF. Choose the format that matches the next step in your work, then export the current view. Share the exported file with another app on your device.

Create a new file
Start a new table when you need a fresh schema. Add fields with a name, type, length, and decimal places where the field type uses them. Save the new DBF file to a folder you choose.

File details
Open file information to review the display name, location, size, record count, field count, format, encoding, and memo status. Set encoding so text from older tables uses the character set you expect.

Recent files and favorites
DBF File Viewer keeps a recent-files list and a favorites list on your device so you can return to a table you already opened. If a recent item will not open, choose the file again so Android can grant access. Clear recent history from Settings when you want that list removed. Favorites stay when recent history is cleared.

Appearance
Choose a light theme, a dark theme, or the system default. Set table density to compact, normal, or comfortable. Set a default export format and a default encoding. Turn confirmation on or off for delete and overwrite.

On your device
Database contents you open are processed on your phone through Android storage access. DBF File Viewer does not upload your table contents to a developer server. Preferences, recent-file names, and favorites stay in private app storage until you clear them or uninstall the app.

Advertising and connection
The app shows advertising through Google AdMob. An app-open ad may appear after a fresh launch, and an interstitial ad may appear after a completed main action such as save or export. A short pause is kept between fullscreen ads. You can reset or limit the advertising ID in Android settings. A working internet connection is required for normal use.

Who it is for
DBF File Viewer is for people who work with supported DBF tables, including shop records, inventory lists, legacy office databases, study files, and personal data tables stored as .dbf.

Before you edit
Use only files you are allowed to access. Unsupported DBF variants or a missing memo file can limit editing or saving. Large files need enough device memory. Files over 50 MB ask you to continue. Files over 200 MB ask you to continue only when the device can handle the size. The app is not directed to children under 13.

Start here
Open DBF File Viewer, choose Open DBF File, and select a .dbf from your device. Search the table, edit a row, save a copy, or export to CSV, JSON, XLSX, HTML, or TXT. Create a new DBF file when you want to define the fields yourself.
