Image Metadata Viewer

Image Metadata Viewer helps you read the details stored inside a photo. Select a picture from your device and review image properties, EXIF metadata, camera information, date and time, and GPS coordinates when those fields exist in the file.

With Image Metadata Viewer you inspect a selected photo on the device. Image reading and metadata extraction stay on the device. The app does not run its own server for uploading photos. You choose each file through the system photo picker.

What you can review
- Basic image information, including file name, type, size, width, height, and orientation
- EXIF metadata recorded by a camera or phone
- Camera information such as make, model, serial number, lens brand, lens model, flash, light source, aperture, exposure time, ISO, focal length, metering mode, subject distance, white balance, contrast, brightness, saturation, and sharpness, when the file contains them
- Date and time values stored in the image
- GPS location embedded in the photo, with options to copy coordinates or open them in Maps
- Search across metadata keys and values
- Filters for EXIF, camera, date and time, GPS, image properties, and other fields
- Copy one value or copy the full metadata list
- Show or hide empty fields from Settings

It includes an image preview and a complete metadata view. A recent list keeps a limited history on your device so you can reopen a photo while access is still allowed. You can remove one history item after confirmation, or clear the full list in Settings.

Export
Image Metadata Viewer can save the available metadata as a UTF-8 text file, a JSON file, or a PDF. Only values present in the selected image are included. Share the export with the system share sheet, or save it in a folder you choose. If an export may contain GPS coordinates, a warning appears so you can review it before sharing.

How to use Image Metadata Viewer
1. Turn on Wi-Fi or mobile data. An internet connection is required for the main screens.
2. Select an image.
3. Open basic information, EXIF metadata, camera information, date and time, or GPS location.
4. Search, copy, or export the fields you need.

Please note
Metadata depends on the source file. Some photos include rich EXIF and location data. Others include only basic file properties. Image Metadata Viewer does not create location data and does not use your device position as the photo location. It shows coordinates only when they are already written inside the image.

Appearance
Choose a light theme, a dark theme, or the system default. The screens are laid out for portrait use, with Home, Recent, Explore, and Settings.

Who may use Image Metadata Viewer
Photographers, students, editors, and anyone who wants to understand a picture can use this app for lawful personal inspection of images they are allowed to access. It is not directed to children.

Advertising
The app may show app open ads and interstitial ads. Ordinary moves between Home, Recent, Explore, and Settings do not show those ads. Where the law requires it, a consent message can appear before personalized ads are requested. If personalized ads are declined where that choice is offered, non-personalized ads may still appear.

Privacy
Selected images are processed on your device. Image Metadata Viewer does not sell your images or metadata. Read the in-app Privacy Policy and Terms of Use before you rely on a displayed field. For support, use the developer contact on this Google Play listing.

Fields you may see when the photo contains them
Camera brand, camera model, aperture, exposure time, ISO, focal length, white balance, capture date, capture time, latitude, longitude, and other EXIF tags. If a tag is missing, the app does not invent a value.

Start with a photo you are allowed to open, review what the file actually contains, and check location details before you share an image or an export. Image Metadata Viewer is ready for careful photo inspection.
