BitPlayer: Music & Video

BitPlayer plays your music and videos, with the extras other players leave out: subtitles for songs too, looping the best part, a large view, playback speed and a sleep timer. It also downloads torrents, converts files, casts to your TV and has a browser that blocks ads. One app for your phone, tablet, Chromebook and Android TV.

A PLAYER FOR MUSIC AND VIDEO
• One library for your songs and videos, with playlists, favourites, shuffle and repeat.
• Subtitles for videos and songs: an .srt or .vtt file next to the file loads by itself. Turn them on or off with one tap, pick another file, or move them when they are out of step.
• Synced lyrics: an .lrc file next to a song shows each line as it is sung.
• Loop the best part: mark one or more parts of a song or video and only those play, one after the other.
• Large view: the video fills the screen, with nothing else around it.
• Speed from 0.5× to 2×, and a sleep timer that stops after 15 to 60 minutes or at the end of the song.
• Long videos and podcasts open where you left off.
• Plays on in the background, with controls in the notification and on the lock screen.

CAST AND WATCH TOGETHER
• Cast to TVs and speakers on your network (DLNA/UPnP).
• Watch Together: the same video, in sync, with friends on your Wi-Fi. Share a six-character code; no account, no server.

TORRENTS
• A full BitTorrent client: magnet links and .torrent files, seeding with ratio limits, and making your own torrents.

CONVERT
• Convert audio, video and images between 27+ formats, on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

BROWSER
• A built-in browser that blocks ads and trackers with the filter lists uBlock Origin uses (EasyList and EasyPrivacy).

ON EVERY SCREEN
• Phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and Android TV with the remote.
• 18 languages, 28 colours, light and dark.

PRIVATE
• No account needed. Your library stays on your device.
• Open source (GPL-3.0).
