Chess Pieces and Their Moves:
Pawn moves forward one square or two squares on its first move, captures diagonally.
King moves one square in any direction.
Queen moves any distance vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
Rook moves any distance vertically or horizontally.
Knight moves in an "L" shape: two squares in one direction and then one square perpendicular to it.
Bishop moves any distance diagonally.
Game Objectives:
The goal is to checkmate your opponent's king.

Check: The king is under attack.
Checkmate: The king is in check, and there is no legal move to escape.
Stalemate: No legal moves left, but the king is not in check – results in a draw.
Special Moves in Chess:
Castling: A special double move involving the king and a rook, provided neither has moved before.
