PHONE-NVR turns any old Android phone into a dedicated NVR (Network Video Recorder), continuously recording from IP cameras over the RTSP protocol.

Instead of throwing away your old phone, repurpose it as a security camera recorder — cheaper, more convenient, and with cloud backup that traditional NVR boxes don't offer.

▶ EASY SETUP

1. Add a camera via its RTSP URL or import an .xspf playlist
2. Tap "Full record" or "AI record" (ONVIF motion)
3. Sign in to Google Drive for automatic backup
4. Keep the phone plugged in and running

▶ REQUIREMENTS

• Android 8.0 or higher
• An IP camera that supports RTSP (most security cameras do)
• Same Wi-Fi/LAN network as the camera
• Free storage for recordings (32GB+ recommended)

▶ NOTES

• Designed to run continuously on a dedicated phone (not for everyday use)
• Disable battery optimization for the app to keep recording uninterrupted
• Videos are saved under Movies/NVR in internal storage
• Supports H.264 and H.265/HEVC codecs
