Compass, Bearings, Waypoints by Team-Survival is an offline app for compass direction, target bearings, waypoints, magnetic declination and practical orientation with map and compass.

The app helps determine the correct correction value for compass and map use. It calculates magnetic declination and distinguishes between maps with a UTM grid and maps without a UTM grid. This makes it clear which value is relevant for the map in use.

The compass function serves as a practical direction aid, can support map orientation and can be used as an emergency compass when needed. Sensor quality, possible magnetic interference and calibration notes are shown directly in the app.

The bearing function calculates direction and distance to a selected target point. Magnetic declination is taken into account, so a corrected course for practical map-and-compass work is shown. Target coordinates can be entered manually or selected from saved waypoints.

Waypoints can be saved, edited, deleted and assigned to custom categories. Important points such as start point, parking area, camp, meeting point or water source can be reused later for bearing navigation. Saved waypoints can also be shown by direction and distance in the surrounding area.

Waypoints can be exported and imported again. The app supports its own JSON waypoint file and, where possible, GPX waypoints and simple KML placemarks.

The sky section shows sun position, sunrise, sunset, moon phase, moonrise and moonset. A globe view with location, sun, moon and day/night area helps estimate daylight, remaining light and general direction. The app also includes a night sky view with orientation points such as Polaris, the Big Dipper, Cassiopeia and Orion.

All calculations are performed locally on the device. A mobile data connection is not required for the app functions. The location can be determined by the device location service or entered manually. Targets and waypoints remain local in the app.
