Riyad as-Salihin" by Imam Nawawi is a highly esteemed Hadith compilation, revered for its insights into Islamic morals, acts of worship, and manners. Comprising verses from the Quran complemented by Hadith narratives, the book serves as a guide for Muslims seeking spiritual enlightenment. Imam Nawawi, a prominent scholar from Damascus, meticulously compiled these teachings between 1233 and 1277.
The authentication of Hadith became a vital discipline within Islam due to the vast array of collected narratives. Scholars classified Hadith into categories such as "sahih" (authentic), "hasan" (good), or "da'if" (weak), ensuring their reliability for religious guidance. However, interpretations and classifications may vary among different groups and scholars.
While Sunni scholars typically include the words and actions of Muhammad's companions in the definition of Hadith, Shia Islam emphasizes the teachings of Muhammad and his family, the Ahl al-Bayt.
