About Play Rebound

Play Rebound is an arcade brick breaker built around a paddle, a ball, and waves of blocks. Move the paddle along the bottom of the screen, launch the ball, break blocks, and continue while lives remain.

🏓 TOUCH CONTROLS

Play Rebound uses simple touch input.

Drag your finger left or right to move the paddle across the lower part of the screen.

Tap the screen to launch the ball when it is resting on the paddle.

While the ball is moving, continue dragging the paddle to position it for the next rebound.

Tap Start on the opening screen to begin a run.

🧱 BLOCK BREAKING

Each wave places blocks in the upper part of the play area.

When the ball hits a block, the block takes damage or is removed.

Most blocks are removed after one hit.

On later waves, some blocks require two hits before they disappear.

Breaking blocks adds points to the current score.

When every block in the active wave has been removed, the wave is completed and a new one begins.

The ball returns to the paddle before the next wave and waits for another tap to launch.

🌊 WAVES

The current wave number is shown during gameplay.

As waves increase, the block layout can include more rows, blocks that require additional hits, and a faster moving ball.

The same paddle and ball controls remain active throughout the run.

Each completed wave adds a bonus based on the current wave number.

❤️ LIVES

Each run begins with three lives.

If the ball moves past the paddle and leaves the bottom of the screen, one life is removed.

If at least one life remains, the ball returns to the paddle and the current wave continues from its existing state.

Tap the screen to launch the ball again.

When all three lives have been used, the run ends and the result screen appears.

📊 SCORE AND HIGH SCORE

Points are added as blocks are damaged and removed.

Blocks that require more than one hit can add value when damaged and when fully removed.

Completing a wave adds an additional bonus based on the wave index.

The current score, remaining lives, active wave, and high score are displayed during gameplay.

The high score remains available between sessions.

When a run produces a score higher than the saved record, the high score updates.

🎨 VISUAL STYLE

Play Rebound uses a colorful arcade-style interface with a gradient background.

Blocks use different colors across the playfield.

The paddle uses a bright gradient edge, while the ball includes a glow effect so it remains visible while moving.

A hint line appears near the bottom of the gameplay screen. It can indicate when the ball is ready to launch or when the next wave is prepared.

The main HUD displays the score, lives, wave number, and high score.

🔄 ROUND FLOW

Tap Start to start from wave one with three lives and a fresh score.

Move the paddle and tap to launch the ball.

Keep the ball in play while it rebounds from the paddle, walls, and blocks.

Break every block to complete the current wave.

After the wave is cleared, the next block layout appears and the ball returns to the paddle for another launch.

Continue through additional waves while lives remain.

If the ball falls past the paddle, one life is removed.

When no lives remain, the run ends.

The results screen shows the final score and saved high score.

Tap Restart to start again from wave one with three lives and a reset score.

📱 GAME STRUCTURE

Play Rebound uses one arcade mode with repeated block-clearing waves.

There are no separate gameplay modes described in the app.

The game stays centered on the same loop: move the paddle, launch the ball, break blocks, clear waves, track the score, and continue until all three lives are used.
