Open Chord: Learn Guitar

Picked up a guitar and have no idea where to start? Open Chord takes you from your very first chord to playing with confidence, one small step at a time. No theory degree required, and nothing to pay.

WHAT YOU GET

🎸 Lessons that build on each other
A clear path from absolute beginner upward. Each lesson adds one thing, so you are never staring at the screen wondering what to practice next.

🎸 A chord library you will actually use
Clean, readable chord diagrams for the chords real songs are built on. Look one up in seconds whenever you get stuck.

🎸 A built-in tuner
An in-tune guitar is the difference between sounding good and giving up. Tune up right inside the app before every session.

🎸 A metronome and practice games
Build your timing and picking with short, focused challenges that make the repetitive parts stick, instead of feeling like homework.

STAY WITH IT

Most people quit in the first two weeks. Open Chord is built to get you past that. Daily practice suggestions keep each session short and doable, and a running streak gives you a reason to pick the guitar up again tomorrow. Small wins, every day, until playing becomes a habit.

FREE, AND FAIR ABOUT IT

Open Chord is free forever. No subscription, no locked lessons, no paywall waiting a few screens in. Everything in the app is yours from day one.

Whether you have never held a guitar or you have been teaching yourself for a while and want a bit more structure, Open Chord grows with you. Grab your guitar and play your first chord today.
