🔊 Easy Volume Button Controls

Instead of opening your music player every time you want to change a track, Volume Button Music Control can detect configured long presses of your physical volume buttons and send supported media commands to the active media session.

For example:

Volume Up – Long Press → Next Track
Volume Down – Long Press → Previous Track

You can also customize the long-press duration to match your preference.

🌙 Screen-Off Control

Enable Screen-Off Control to allow configured volume-button media actions while the phone screen is off, where supported by the device and active media application.

This can be useful when listening to music with your phone in your pocket or while the screen is locked.

🔄 Start After Reboot

The Start After Reboot option helps restore your preferred enabled state after your device restarts.

Android still controls Accessibility permission independently, and the app does not bypass Android's permission system.

📳 Feedback Options

Choose how the app confirms a media action.

♿ Accessibility Service

Volume Button Music Control uses Android’s AccessibilityService API to detect physical volume-button presses while you use other apps and send your configured next-track, previous-track, or play/pause command to compatible media apps. Controls can run in the background and, on supported devices, with the screen off.

The service accesses volume-button key events and window-change events to keep button handling active. It does not retrieve screen text, passwords, messages, or screen content. Button events are processed on your device and are not collected, stored, or shared. Control preferences are saved locally. Accessibility data is not sent to the developer or advertisers.

Access is optional. A separate in-app disclosure asks for your consent before Android Accessibility settings open. You can decline and still configure settings or use in-app music buttons. Stop hardware controls with the master switch, or disable Volume Button Music Control in Android Accessibility settings anytime.
