About Flashcards: Paste & Memorize

Paste a list, get a deck of flashcards!
No need to type cards one by one. Copy a two-column table from a spreadsheet on your computer, or a note with one pair per line like "apple: manzana", and paste it in. Your cards are made all at once, ready to test right away.
Note: This app has no built-in word lists, text-to-speech, or images. Paste in the words you want to learn from your own notes or spreadsheets.

■ No need to worry

▪ No need to worry about ads. There are no ads, before or after you buy, so you'll never see ads unsuitable for kids
▪ No need to worry that free tests run out. Even without buying, you can test yourself as many times as you like
▪ No need to worry that your decks disappear at the limit. You can make up to 3 decks for free. After that, your decks stay, and you can keep adding cards and testing as before. You just can't make a fourth deck
▪ No need to worry about losing your decks to an expired login or a server shutdown. This app has no accounts and no server of our own. Your decks stay on your phone (uninstalling the app deletes them too)
▪ No need to worry about monthly charges. There is only one purchase: a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription
▪ No need to worry about being pushed to buy. The purchase screen opens only when you tap one of two places yourself: the button on the deck limit notice, or the line under Export on a deck's screen. The Back button takes you right back

■ Why we made this

Typing every card one by one can wear you out before you even start learning. We wanted you to spend your time learning, not typing, so we made it work by pasting your notes or tables.

■ What you can paste

▪ A two-column table (fronts and backs) copied from a spreadsheet on your computer, or from Google Sheets on your phone
▪ A note with one front/back pair per line, like "apple: manzana"
▪ Lines that can't be split show their line number, so you can fix them on the spot
▪ No computer needed for notes: copy and paste right on your phone

You can also add, edit, and delete cards one at a time (you'll confirm before deleting).

■ Testing

▪ Look at the front, flip the card, and mark for yourself whether you know it
▪ Retest just the cards you haven't learned yet
▪ Test as many times as you like
▪ A 2,000-card deck opens, ready to test, in a few seconds (tested on our phone)

■ What's free, and what the one-time purchase unlocks

Free: make decks by pasting · add / edit / delete cards · tests (no limit) · up to 3 decks
The one-time in-app purchase unlocks two things: unlimited decks · export decks to a file and import them back
Reinstalling the app keeps both unlocked (same Google account)
With export, you can save your decks as a file. Import restores a file you've exported
On the same phone, importing the file after reinstalling brings back your cards and "known" marks

■ Switching to a new phone

▪ Your decks (cards and "known" marks) are included in Android backup, but may not always come back (for example, if backup is off, for cards added after the last backup, or if you don't restore while setting up the new phone)

■ What this app does not have

▪ Pre-made decks or word lists
▪ Images, audio, or text-to-speech on cards (cards are text only)
▪ Making cards from photos, images, or PDFs, or with AI
▪ Accounts, syncing, or sharing

■ Your data

▪ The words and translations in your decks are never sent to us
▪ The app only connects to Firebase (usage counts) and Google Play (such as purchases)
▪ Usage counts (such as deck count, purchase screen views, and purchases) never include your words or translations
▪ If backup is on, Android also includes your decks in your Google account's backup (we can't read it)
▪ No sign-up needed. There is no sharing feature, so this app never makes your decks public. Exported files are saved only where you choose

What’s new

Version 1.0.0 · Updated September 26, 2026

• Initial release. Paste a list of words and it becomes a deck of flashcards • The app looks for the separator (a tab, a colon and so on). You can also choose it yourself or add cards one at a time • Test yourself: look at the front, flip the card to check the back, and mark it as known or not yet. You can also test only cards not yet known. No limit on tests • A one-time in-app purchase (no subscription) removes the deck limit and adds export and import • No ads, before or after purchase
