About Meditation and chakras

The chakras are energetic vortexes of our body through which our vital energy flows. They can be seen as the intersections of two or more energy channels, or nadis. The word "chakra" is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning "wheel".

There are 7 main chakras in the human body: Muladhara (base), Svadhishthana (sacral), Manipura (solar plexus), Anahata (heart), Vishuddha (throat), Ajna (third eye) and Sahasrara (crown).

Chakra 1 - Muladhara, the root chakra

The root chakra is located at the base of the spine. The color associated with this chakra is red. It governs our sense of security and stability, our sense of self-worth and our connection to the earth.

Chakra 2 - Svadhisthana, el sacred chakral

The sacral chakra is the second of the 7 chakras of the human body. It is located below the navel and above the pubic bone..

The sacral chakra governs pleasure, creativity, sexuality and procreation. The color associated with this chakra is orange..

El chakra 3 - Manipura, el chakra del plexo solar

Manipura is the third chakra in the seven chakra system. It is located in the navel area and corresponds to the fire element.
It is also called the "solar plexus" because it has traditionally been associated with physical vitality and digestive processes.
The Manipura chakra governs our sense of self-esteem, our ability to take on challenges and our willpower..

The word "manipura" means "city of jewels" or "city of light".

El chakra 4 - Anahata, el chakra corazón

The heart chakra is the fourth chakra and is located in the middle of the chest. The color associated with this chakra is green. This chakra is about love, compassion and empathy. If this chakra is out of balance, it can lead to depression, anxiety or lack of self-love..

El chakra 5 - Vishuddha, el chakra de la garganta

The fifth chakra is called Vishuddha and is located in the throat. It is also known as the chakra of truth. This is where we find our voice, our ability to speak for ourselves and speak for others. The throat chakra governs expression and communication.

Chakra 6 - Ajna, the third eye chakra

The third eye chakra is the sixth chakra, or energy center, in the body. It is located in the middle of the forehead and is associated with our sense of sight, intuition and wisdom. It also has a role in self-realization, or the realization of one's full potential. When this chakra is balanced, we can clearly see what we should do and how to do it. We are also able to see beyond our own perspective and more easily understand the viewpoints of others..

El chakra 7 - Sahasrara, el chakra corona

This chakra is located at the back of the head. It represents universal consciousness, unconditional love and wisdom..
