GOOD TO KNOW: WHERE IT WORKS
Speak Song announces music that is playing through the phone it's installed on. That means it works anywhere your phone is the one playing the music — through your phone's speaker, headphones, or a Bluetooth speaker.
In the car, it works when your phone is playing the music and sending it to the car over Bluetooth. If you sign into a music app directly on your car's own system (so the car, not your phone, is playing), Speak Song won't announce those tracks — but in that case your car's display is usually already showing the track and artist anyway.

BUILT WITH YOUR PRIVACY IN MIND
Speak Song does everything on your device. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers. It doesn't collect your data, doesn't track you, and never sends anything anywhere. To detect what's playing, it uses Android's Notification Access permission to read now-playing media information locally — and nothing else. It does not read, store, or transmit the content of any other notifications on your device.
