Kundli: Janam Kundali & Dasha

Kundli by Kundlit makes your janam kundli (also spelled kundali) from your date, time and place of birth, in Hindi or English, and keeps it on your phone so you can open it again any time, even without internet.

WHAT YOU SEE
Your lagna (ascendant), Moon sign (rashi) and birth nakshatra come first. Below them is your birth chart in North Indian or South Indian style, and your navamsa (D9) chart. A table lists the nine grahas with their sign, degree, house, nakshatra and dignity, and another section lists the yogas the engine finds in your chart.

VIMSHOTTARI DASHA, CORRECT FOR TODAY
The app shows the mahadasha and antardasha running today. It works them out on your phone each time you open a chart, so a chart you saved months ago still shows the right period. Tap any mahadasha in the table to see its antardashas with their dates. The app lists the periods; it does not make predictions.

MANGLIK DOSHA
The manglik check uses the traditional rule of Mars in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house, counted from the lagna, from the Moon and from Venus. You see which of these three points flags Mars, which classical cancellations (parihara) apply to your chart, and the common folk practices people follow.

BIRTH TIME NOT KNOWN?
You can still make your kundli. The app uses 12:00 and is honest about what that changes: it does not guess your lagna, it shows both Moon signs or both nakshatras when your birth day allows two, and it names the running mahadasha only when every birth time on that day gives the same one.

YOUR CHARTS STAY ON YOUR PHONE
Saved kundlis are listed newest first, with no account and no sign-up. Delete one from its screen, or all of them in Settings. If Android backup is on, your saved charts are part of your own Google backup.

SHARE YOUR KUNDLI
Send a picture of your chart with your birth details to family, or to whoever is matching kundlis for you.

HOW IT IS COMPUTED
The Kundlit engine computes each chart using the Swiss Ephemeris, with the Lahiri ayanamsa. Your name never leaves your phone: only the birth date, time and the place's coordinates go to kundlit.com to compute the chart. There are no ads and nothing to buy.
