When your phone get stolen and it has no internet connection and thief tries to turn off the phone than the app automatically sends an emergency SMS alert containing your device's live GPS coordinates and a Google Maps link to your registered emergency contact number, ensuring you can always locate your device even without data connectivity. This is a core physical safety feature designed for theft emergencies

- Automated Offline SMS Remote Lock
When a stolen phone has no internet connection, the owner can send a command by SMS from the app on another phone to automatically start anti-shutdown protection, and a second command to stop it. This is a core anti-theft and physical safety feature, because it is the only way to control the device remotely when data connectivity is unavailable.

The app automatically reacts only to two owner commands (LTP LOCK and LTP STOP LOCK) that include the owner's registered account email. Every other message is ignored. The app does not read the SMS inbox or personal messages, and it does not store, upload, or share any message content. The SMS permission is requested only after a clear in-app disclosure.

- Evidence Capture
Capture video evidence together with relevant location information and timestamps during an active anti-theft session. Evidence is securely associated with the owner's account.

- Evidence Viewer
Review captured evidence and associated location information from within the app, with improved loading and error handling. Users can delete stored evidence when it is no longer required.

- Anti-Shutdown Protection
When enabled by the owner, anti-shutdown protection helps prevent an unauthorized person from easily powering off the device during a theft situation. The owner can disable this protection at any time.

- SIM Ejection Alarm
When enabled by the owner, the app can detect a SIM card removal or SIM change event and trigger an anti-theft alert, helping the owner identify potential tampering with the stolen or lost device.

- Secure Account & Device Linking
Access to tracking and security features is protected through the user's account and authorized device registration.

Privacy & User Control

Locate The Phone uses sensitive permissions only to provide its anti-theft and device recovery features. Permissions such as location, camera, microphone, SMS (sending location alerts and receiving owner lock commands), and accessibility access are requested and used for specific security functions.

Users remain in control of their security settings and can manage or delete available evidence from within the app.
