About Halloween Theme
Give your phone a spooky-cute Halloween night. Halloween Launcher is a home screen launcher with glowing jack-o'-lanterns, a friendly ghost, bats across a full moon and a manor on a misty hill, all painted for this pack.
This app is a launcher: you can set it as your phone's home screen. Until you do, it works like any other app, and nothing changes on your phone.
▌ What you get
• A home screen with a big stacked clock, the date, your pinned apps and one-tap buttons for Themes and All apps.
• An app list one swipe up from the home screen. It has search, a letter scrubber on the right edge and a long-press menu to pin an app to the home screen or open its App info. Swipe down on the home screen to pull the notification shade.
• Two painted wallpapers ("scenes"). Moonlit Patch: a full moon, bats, a friendly ghost and a patch of glowing pumpkins. Haunted Manor: a lit-up manor on a misty hill, with gravestones and jack-o'-lanterns.
• Moonlit Patch is free. Haunted Manor unlocks after one short video ad that you choose to watch, and stays unlocked for good. No subscription, no timer.
• An icon pack: pumpkin-orange glyphs on a deep purple tile. Fourteen everyday apps such as Phone, Messages, Camera and your browser get their own drawn icon, and every other app gets the matching frame.
• The Spooky Name Generator (more below).
• An optional daily reminder, on by default, that nudges you back to the pack on days 1, 2, 5 and 10 after you last opened it. Switch it off on the Themes page.
▌ Make it your home screen
1. Open the app and tap "Use as my launcher".
2. Pick Halloween Launcher in the Android sheet and confirm.
3. Press Home. To switch back, pick your old launcher in Settings, Apps, Default apps, Home app.
▌ Just the look, not the launcher
"Wallpaper only" sets the wallpaper on your home screen, lock screen or both, without changing your launcher. The icon pack also works in launchers that support icon packs: pick this pack in your launcher's icon settings.
▌ Spooky Name Generator
• Type your name and find out who you become on Halloween night, from Count to Duchess.
• The same name always gets the same spooky name, so friends can compare.
• Your name comes on a card painted with the pack's art, ready to share.
▌ Free, supported by ads
This launcher is free because ads pay for it, and full-screen ads are part of using it:
• When you open the app (not the first time, and at most once every few hours), a full-screen ad can show before the pack appears.
• On your first visit, the welcome and "Pick a scene" pages each have a sponsored card, and a full-screen ad can show when you finish them.
• The Themes page has a banner at the bottom and a sponsored card between the scenes and the icons.
• A full-screen ad can show after you set a wallpaper, and a sideways swipe on the home screen can show one too.
• In the Spooky Name Generator, a sponsored card sits above the boxes you type in and above your result, and a full-screen ad can show as your result appears.
• The video that unlocks Haunted Manor plays only when you choose to watch it.
Sponsored cards are marked "Ad". Full-screen ads are spaced minutes apart and limited each day. In some regions you will be asked for your ad privacy choices, and "Privacy choices" on the Themes page lets you change them.
▌ Privacy
No account and no sign-in. As a launcher it reads the list of apps on your phone to show them in the app list and the icon preview; that list is used on your phone only and is never sent anywhere. The names you type stay on your phone and only leave it inside a card you choose to share. The app never asks for your contacts, photos, files or location. Ads are provided by Google and use your phone's advertising ID. Usage data and crash reports help us fix problems; turn them off any time with "Usage data and crash reports" at the bottom of the Themes page.
