WHAT IT CALCULATES
- Maximum hanger spacing by pipe material and size, 1 in through 8 in
- Steel: 12 ft on 1 in and 1-1/4 in, 15 ft on 1-1/2 in and larger
- Copper: 8 ft to 15 ft depending on pipe size
- CPVC: 6 ft to 10 ft, listed sizes 1 in through 3 in
- Hanger count and spacing for a given length of pipe
- Lateral and longitudinal seismic brace spacing where bracing is required

CODE REFERENCES BUILT IN
- NFPA 13 Table 17.4.2.1(a) - maximum distance between hangers
- NFPA 13 18.5.5.2.2 and 18.5.6.1 - brace spacing: lateral no more than 40 ft, longitudinal no more than 80 ft on center
- CPVC above 3 in is not in the table: the app says so instead of returning a number, and the manufacturer listing governs
