The Eforto® system combines grip strength, grip endurance and self-perceived fatigue in one simple effort test, as a biomarker of a person's physical reserves and vitality capacity.

To use the Eforto app, you need to have an Eforto® Device. The Eforto ®Device connects with the Eforto App via Bluetooth. The Eforto app provides interactive guidance for self-testing, so that the Eforto® test can be performed by a person independently at home, or assisted by e.g. a healthcare professional. Other key features of the app include authentication, reminders, administration of questionnaires, visualisation of the test results and tailored feedback.

In summary, an Eforto® test is performed as follows.
- To start, the person is asked to calibrate the sound.
- Next, the person performs the maximal grip strength test three times.
- Afterwards, the person performs the muscle fatigability test. Every time the person loses grip, the app encourages the person to continue to squeeze harder.
- At the end, the test results and accompanying feedback are displayed.
