Beatkeep: Metronome & Tempo

Tired of a metronome that stutters the moment an ad loads? Beatkeep schedules every click sample by sample on its own audio thread, so screen changes and ads never touch your timing. No pop-ups while it plays. Ever.

KEEP TIME, NOTHING ELSE
• Big BPM number, 30–300 BPM, with -5 / -1 / +1 / +5 buttons
• Tap tempo: tap along to a song to find its BPM
• Tempo locks while playing — no accidental drift, no "it sped up by itself"
• Time signatures one tap away: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8
• Subdivisions 1–4 per beat, accent on the first beat, tap any dot to make it accent, normal or silent
• Reset to defaults in one tap if you get lost

SPEED TRAINER
Woodshed that fast passage: start at 80 BPM, add +4 BPM every 4 bars, stop at 120. Or run a practice timer at a fixed tempo. The metronome stops by itself when you hit the target.

PRACTICE LOG
Every session of 1 minute or more is saved: today's minutes, best BPM, weekly chart and a streak calendar. Share today's card with your teacher or band.

SOUNDS YOU CAN HEAR OVER YOUR INSTRUMENT
Woodblock, click, beep, cowbell and 1-2-3-4 count tones. Different sound on accents, volume boost that cuts through drums and amps, vibration and screen flash on each beat.

PLAYS ALONG WITH OTHER APPS
Keep YouTube, a backing track or your sheet music app playing while the click runs on top.

MORE
• Presets: save BPM, time signature and sound for scales, swing or waltz
• Keeps ticking with the screen off; play and stop from the notification or home screen widget
• No account, no sign-up, works offline
• Light and dark theme

For guitar practice, piano practice, drum grooves, band rehearsal, singing and running cadence. Beatkeep is a simple metronome that just does its job: a steady beat.
