About Cracker: Track your CC spends
# π³ Cracker β Credit Card Tracker
Cracker is an **offline credit card tracker for Indian cards**. It records what you spend, works out what each card earned under its own rules, and then does the part most trackers skip: it prices your points at what your redemptions actually returned.
## π WHAT A POINT IS REALLY WORTH
A rewards balance means nothing until you redeem it.
Cracker asks what came back β **rupees received, minus booking fees and taxes** β and blends that into a realized value per point for each programme.
## π³ YOUR CARDS, AS THEY ACTUALLY BEHAVE
Add each card with its **credit limit, statement close day, due day, annual fee and fee-waiver condition**.
Then describe how it earns:
* β Base reward rate
* π Category accelerators
* π Monthly caps
* π― Milestone thresholds
## π STATEMENT IMPORT, ON THE PHONE
Banks lock the statement they email. Cracker builds the password from details you enter once β **name, date of birth and card digits** β and tries them on the device.
The password itself is never stored, only which rule worked.
The PDF is parsed and reconciled against the totals the bank printed. Rows arrive staged, with duplicates flagged rather than merged.
Nothing touches your ledger until you have reviewed it, and a committed statement can be removed whole.
## π SIX WAYS TO READ A YEAR
Cracker gives you multiple ways to understand where your money went and what your cards actually returned:
* π Spend, reward rate and redemption on one month axis
* π³ Spend by card, a category heat grid, movers against last year
* π What you earned against what your own cards could have paid
* π Earned against redeemed, and realized value by route
* π Merchant leaderboard, recurring charges, day-of-week rhythm
* π Close and due dates, and the interest-free run on a purchase today
* β³ Expiry runway, with points retiring oldest first
Every chart has a table behind it, and the **financial year runs April to March**.
## π ON THIS DEVICE, AND NOWHERE ELSE
The release build declares **no internet permission at all**.
Not a setting and not a promise β a line absent from the Android manifest, which the operating system enforces.
You can check it under:
**Settings β Apps β Cracker β Permissions**
There is **no account, no sign-in and no server**.
Your ledger is a **SQLCipher-encrypted database** whose key is generated on your phone and held by the Android Keystore, so the file is unreadable to anything that copies it off.
Your name, date of birth and PAN live in secure storage, not in the database, and can be sealed behind your fingerprint.
π« No ads
π« No analytics
π« No crash reporting
π« No third-party tracking
## π‘οΈ WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
Cracker does **not read your SMS** and does **not read your notifications**.
It holds no SMS permission and contains no notification listener, and a build check fails if either is ever added.
It never contacts your bank, moves no money, offers no credit and gives **no financial advice**.
## β¨ ALSO INCLUDED
* π Local payment reminders, off until you turn them on
* π App lock and identity seal, both off by default
* πΎ Encrypted, passphrase-protected backup
* π€ CSV export β a copy to read, not a backup
* π¨βπ©βπ§ Cards for more than one person in a household
* ποΈ Erase everything, destroying the key rather than the rows
Because nothing is uploaded, **nothing can be recovered for you**.
If the phone is lost or reset, the data is gone unless you wrote a backup file and remember its passphrase.
Bank and card network names are the marks of their owners, used only to identify statement formats.
