About 3-Cushion System Calculator
You know the cue ball number, but the math is too slow at the table? Just place the balls.
3-Cushion System is a three-cushion system calculator and practice app: drag the cue ball and object ball, and it instantly draws the 1st-cushion aim point and the expected path.
■ Work back from the target to the aim point
• Set the second object ball's position or the 3rd-cushion number you want, and it finds the 1st-cushion aim point that gets you there.
• The cue ball number is read not from where the ball sits, but from the line extended from the aim point back through the cue ball. That extension line is drawn on screen, too.
• When there are several solutions, the line closest to the cue ball is shown first, and you can switch to the others in one tap.
• If the layout can't be solved with this system, it suggests another one.
■ Supported systems
• Five-and-a-Half: 3rd cushion = Cue ball − 1st cushion
• Plus: 3rd cushion = Cue ball + 1st cushion
• Corner: sends the ball into the corner on the 4th cushion along a Five-and-a-Half path
• Calculates both clockwise and counterclockwise shots.
■ Results at a glance
• Cue ball, 1st cushion and 3rd cushion numbers are shown in large digits along with the formula, e.g. "50 − 20 = 30".
• Adjustments for the starting zone are applied, with the base value and adjusted value shown side by side.
• The recommended tip position is marked as a dot on the cue ball.
• The path is colored by cushion order, with the 1, 2, 3 and 4 cushion contacts numbered.
• Toggle the system numbers on the rails, and pinch to zoom in.
• Manual mode lets you tap a rail to set the aim point yourself.
• Share any calculated layout as an image.
■ Adjust for your table
• The same system lands differently depending on the table and cushion condition.
• Record where each shot actually hit the 3rd cushion with a tap on the table.
• The difference between target and actual is averaged per cue ball number range and applied to future calculations as your personal adjustment.
• Create separate profiles for each club or table.
• Check success rate by system and average error by range in charts.
■ Practice modes
• Aim quiz: tap the 1st-cushion rail on a random layout to see the correct aim point and your error in diamonds.
• Time attack: solve 10 problems within the time limit and check your score and average error.
• Easy, Normal and Hard levels with personal records for each system.
■ Number charts
• Shows the full numbering of each system on the table at once.
• Includes adjustment tables and one-minute summary cards covering path, formula, tip position and key points.
■ More features
• Get a daily practice reminder at the time you choose.
• Light and dark themes; white or yellow cue ball
• Show numbers on the diamonds (frame) or on the rail
■ PRO (one-time purchase)
• Remove ads
• Unlimited table profiles
• A one-time purchase, not a subscription, with purchase restore support.
※ System numbers vary between books and tables. Build up your records and adjust the values to fit your own table.
