Local chat and Library work run on your device after the required models are downloaded. Cited web research sends a search request to the internet. If you choose an external OpenAI-compatible server, prompts and any context you attach are sent to that provider; Mercury cannot guarantee that provider's privacy, security, availability, or responses.
