About Cauldron
Cauldron is a cosy game of discovery through combination. You begin with a handful of primal elements — earth, water, air, fire — and by dragging one onto another you brew something new: steam, mud, lava, life, and onward through a sprawling tree of hundreds of discoveries, each unlock nudging you toward the next. There’s no timer and no failure, just the moreish “what happens if I mix these?” curiosity that keeps you combining long past when you meant to stop. Every valid pairing follows a real, hand-authored recipe tree, so discoveries feel earned and logical rather than random, and your growing encyclopedia records each element with a little note on what it is and hints toward what it might still make. A workspace lets you scatter and combine freely, a searchable library tracks everything you’ve found (and teases how many remain), and gentle “you can still make something with this” nudges keep you unstuck without spoiling the fun. Hundreds of elements are organised into themes — nature, weather, life, civilisation, myth — with milestone celebrations as you complete each branch, and your whole collection is saved as you go. Every element is a little illustrated tile the app generates for itself, set on warm parchment, so the grimoire feels rich and hand-made from the first launch. Wrapped in a main menu styled as an open spellbook — two aged pages with tabbed sections rather than a row of buttons — Cauldron runs completely offline with no account and no ads. Whether you want five minutes of idle mixing or a long evening chasing the last few hidden recipes, it turns four simple elements into a whole world to discover.
