Football Career - Boot Room

You are sixteen. A club in the bottom division has offered you a contract.

What happens next is up to you.

Boot Room is a football career played from inside one player rather than from a manager's chair. You take it a week at a time: play the match, spend what you earn on pace, shooting, passing or whatever your game is short of, and answer whoever is waiting afterwards — a reporter, the manager, your agent, someone in the dressing room.

Sign the extension or hold out for a bigger club. Take the free kick yourself. Spend the summer resting, at a training camp, or working for sponsors.

Nineteen seasons later there is a career behind you: promotions and relegations, moves abroad, a first cap, cup nights, and a last game you did not know was the last one.

Two hundred clubs across eight countries, each with a pyramid to climb. A Champions Cup for clubs, a World Cup and a Euro Championship for countries. Thirty-two trophies to fill a cabinet with.

No sign-in, no account. It runs entirely on your phone and works with no signal at all.
