Veer: Weather & Radar

Veer draws the sky outside as it is right now. Rain falls when it rains where you are, clouds drift faster when it is windy, fog sits low in the morning, and at night you see the moon in its actual phase and the stars when the sky is clear. The numbers are right below.

RAIN TO THE MINUTE
Veer reads 15 minute precipitation data and tells you plainly what the next two hours hold: "Rain starts in ~20 min", "Rain stops in ~35 min" or dry until later. When the data says nothing, Veer says nothing rather than guess.

THE NEXT 24 HOURS
Temperature as one curve with the conditions above it, so the cold front at 4 pm shows up as a dip you can see.

RADAR
Rain radar from RainViewer on a dark map: the last two hours plus the short term radar forecast. Play it back or drag through it frame by frame to see which way the rain is moving.

16 DAYS AHEAD
Every day as a band from its low to its high on one shared scale, so a warm week and a cold snap read at a glance. Tap a day for its hourly temperature, precipitation chance and amount, wind and gusts, UV and the sun and moon times.

CONDITIONS
Feels like, wind and gusts, humidity, dew point, pressure with its 3 hour trend, visibility, UV index and air quality on the European scale, each with a short line saying what the number means.

SUN
Sunrise, sunset and day length on an arc that follows the sun across the day.

PLACES
Use your location or search for cities. Every place keeps its own local time and its own sky. Reorder them, swipe one away, undo it. Location permission is optional, the city search does everything the location does.

HONEST DATA
Forecasts come from Open-Meteo. Every reading shows when it was fetched. If you are offline, Veer shows the last forecast it has and says how old it is. It never fills a gap with made up numbers. For official severe weather warnings, Veer points you to your national weather service.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no ads, no analytics. Your places and settings stay on your phone. Location is read only while the app is open and is rounded to about 1 km before it is sent to fetch the weather.
