About UrQ teleprompter for creators

UrQ is a teleprompter that listens to you. Speak your script and the words move with you. There is no scroll speed to guess at and nothing to nudge with your thumb.

It is built for the person making a video alone: you, a phone, and a script you want to get through without twenty takes.

FOLLOWS YOUR VOICE
Words advance as you speak them. Drop a word, swap two around, half-swallow a name, and UrQ keeps up instead of stalling. Install your language on the phone and recognition runs on the device, so it works with no signal and your voice stays local.

CATCHES A FLUBBED LINE AND REWINDS
When a line goes wrong, UrQ hears it and takes you back: to the top of the sentence, the paragraph, or the last passage you got clean. You choose how sensitive it is and where it lands. The flub is stamped into the recording as well, so it is waiting for you in the edit.

HANDS FREE COMMANDS
Say "hey", then "go back two sentences", "next paragraph", or "go to word 40". Useful when both hands are on a camera.

MARKERS YOUR EDITOR UNDERSTANDS
Every session saves as one ZIP: EDL, CSV, FCP7 XML, FCPXML, a WAV with cue markers, and the recorded audio. Open it in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro or Final Cut and every flub, retake and speaker change is already a marker on the timeline, so you spend your evening cutting instead of hunting. Optional clap sync captures a sharp spike at the start to line the audio up with your camera.

YOUR SESSIONS STAY AROUND
Each finished session keeps its duration, words spoken, pace in words and syllables per minute, and how much of the script matched. History holds your recent sessions per script, and any of them can be shared or saved again later. All of it lives on the phone.

DIALOGUE WITHOUT A SECOND PERSON
Mark the speakers in your script and give each one a role. You deliver yours; the phone voices the other side out loud, paces it on a timer, or skips it and waits for your cue.

NO VOICE, NO PROBLEM
Timer mode advances at a syllable pace you set, with pauses at sentences and paragraphs, and a countdown before it starts.

TWO DEVICES
Point one phone at the camera and drive it from another over a direct connection.

THE SCRIPT ON SCREEN
Mirror flip for prompter glass, adjustable text size, margins and line position, two styles, and a fullscreen landscape view.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Scripts are created in the web app at urq.app, by pasting text or linking a Google Doc, and then appear on your phone. Writing a script on the phone is not in yet. Sign-in is with Google.

PRIVACY
Your script and your recordings stay on your device. Recordings are never uploaded, and they leave the phone only when you share them yourself. Nothing you write or speak is tracked.
