DogTracker — Hunting Dog GPS

DogTracker turns an ICAR GPS tracker into a calm, clear picture of where your dogs are and what they are doing.

Open the map and you see every dog, each in its own colour, on a satellite view of the terrain, with an arrow and the distance to the dog you picked. Switch on LIVE when it matters and the tracker reports every 5 seconds.

• Live chase: while a dog is chasing, the map shows "CHASE" and for how many minutes, to you and everyone in the hunt (IK122T Pro)

HUNT WITH YOUR TEAM
Start a hunt, invite the other hunters, and everyone sees the same map: all the dogs in the hunt with their trails, and, only for those who switch it on, the hunters themselves. Location sharing between people is off until you turn it on, and it stops when the hunt ends. On Android it keeps running when the app is closed, with a permanent notification. During the hunt the Statistics tab shows which dog ran the most and which was longest in chase; afterwards the Replay tab plays the whole hunt back. In the evening the app reminds you if a hunt you started is still running.

• Barking and "Barking in place" on the map (IK122T Pro with bark detection on), with a notification after as many minutes of barking in place as you choose

BUILT FOR THE FIELD
The map is readable in daylight, the markers stay upright when you rotate the view, and the dog you picked is bigger than the rest. When a hunter's phone goes silent, the marker stays on the map and fades instead of vanishing.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
No ads. No selling data. Dog positions are kept for 60 days and deleted in monthly blocks, no later than 92 days after they were recorded; hunter positions disappear within 24 hours of the hunt ending. My trail is kept on your phone and is not sent to our server. You can delete your account from inside the app, and your name, e-mail address and username are removed straight away.

WHAT YOU NEED
An ICAR IK122T, IK122T Pro or IK122 Pro GPS tracker (collar) with its own SIM card. The app alone cannot track a dog: it shows what the tracker reports. Setting up a tracker takes two text messages, and the app walks you through it. The app is free.
