Ankyra: Daily Bible Verse

A verse before you scroll: five quiet minutes with the Bible, every day. Every verse is real Scripture, word for word, and the whole Bible is open to everyone. Always.

TODAY
Each morning: a verse, a little context about who wrote it and why, one question to think about and a short prayer. Tap Amen when you’re done.

THE WHOLE BIBLE, FOR EVERYONE
Read, search, highlight and take notes, offline. Translations: Berean Standard Bible, King James Version and World English Bible · Reina-Valera 1909 and Nueva Biblia Viva · Bíblia Livre · Lutherbibel 1912 and Elberfelder 1905 · Louis Segond 1910 and Darby · 文語訳聖書. The one for your language comes with the app; the others download in a moment.

HOW ARE YOU FEELING?
Anxious, lonely, grieving, tired, grateful… Pick what’s closest and read passages for that moment, chosen from a public topical index (OpenBible.info) and checked one by one. When a feeling is heavy, real help lines come first, and those feelings never need Plus.

A PRAYER JOURNAL THAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
Write down who and what you’re praying for. When a prayer is answered, it becomes a stone on your Ebenezer wall. Your prayers, notes, highlights and searches are never uploaded, analyzed or shared. Not even with us.

A STREAK WITH GRACE
Your streak is an anchor, not a flame. Two grace days every week keep it safe, automatically. They’re included and never for sale.

SHARE A VERSE
Cards in Story or Square format, with the full verse and no watermark over the text. Switch the card’s language with one tap and send it to someone in theirs.

WIDGETS
The verse of the day on your Home screen in large type, with an Amen button and your streak. Widgets don’t need Plus.

MADE FOR EVERY SCREEN
Phones, foldables and tablets, in light and dark. Touch and hold the Ankyra icon for shortcuts: Today, the Bible and How I feel.

NO AI CHAT. NOTHING SPEAKS FOR GOD.
Every verse is real Scripture — never generated. No chatbot, no AI art, and nothing is written in the voice of God or Jesus. The short reflections are drafted with AI assistance and checked line by line against classic public-domain commentaries. Read “How we write Ankyra” in the app and report anything that doesn’t sit right.
