Sidecar: Shifts & Home Planner

"Are you working Saturday?"

Sidecar is one shared app for two people whose weeks don't line up. Your shifts and theirs land on the same calendar, colour-coded, at a glance — alongside the groceries, the to-dos and the birthdays you both keep track of.

Add it once. They see it instantly.

WHY SIDECAR
Ordinary calendars are built for one person sharing entries. Family organisers are built for big families and have no rota at all. Shift work apps track your roster but know nothing about the shopping. Sidecar does both: your work schedule and your household, in one place.

YOUR ROTA, ON THE CALENDAR YOU BOTH LOOK AT
• Reusable, colour-coded shift types — Early, Late, Night, Rest Day, or whatever you call yours
• Log a shift in two taps from the month view
• Every shift name keeps the same colour everywhere
• See who is working when, at a glance

THE MONTH YOU ACTUALLY LIVE
• Colour-coded events, with holidays drawn as one continuous bar
• Birthdays marked on the day
• Tap any day for its full agenda

A SHARED SHOPPING LIST
• Syncs live between both phones
• Automatic food emoji as you type — in all 10 languages
• Each item's colour shows who added it
• Check off the last one and the trip celebrates

SHARED TO-DO LISTS
• Named lists with their own emoji and colour
• Due dates with reminders
• A photo and a document on any item — the plumber's quote lives on the to-do
• Keep a list private, share it with specific people, or pin it to your dashboard

BIRTHDAYS YOU WON'T MISS
• Ages and countdowns
• Reminders 7, 3 or 1 day ahead — your choice, per person
• Keep one private, or choose exactly who sees it

ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
A widget showing today and what's coming, in colour. Tap a day to open it.

BUILT FOR TWO ADULTS SHARING ONE HOME
Couples, a couple with a young child, an adult child and a parent, housemates. Up to 4 people in a household.

PRIVACY THAT ISN'T FINE PRINT
• Private events and birthdays are hidden at the database level, not just in the app
• Only the person who created something can edit or delete it
• No ads. No data resale.

Real-time sync between phones. No passwords — sign in with a one-time email code. Two-pane layouts on tablets and unfolded phones. Ten languages.

Every feature today is free.
