VFR Map Europe

VFR MAP EUROPE is an aeronautical chart and VFR flight planning tool for general aviation pilots. It covers all 27 European Union countries, from Portugal and Ireland to Finland, Greece and Cyprus.

MODERN DESIGN
• Clear panels over the map and a bottom navigation bar
• Three in-flight screen layouts to choose from: Instrument bar, Panel or Column
• Ground screen: search, weather, NOTAM and your route with a "Start flight" button
• Dark or light theme
• Times in local time (LT) or UTC, your choice

AERONAUTICAL CHART
• Airspace: CTR, TMA, ATZ, TSA, TRA, R, D and P areas, TMZ, RMZ, labelled along the border, e.g. "TMA 3500-FL95"
• TSA/TRA activity from the AUP/UUP: PL, CZ, EE, FI, HU
• OpenAIP data corrected against the official AIPs
• Airfields by type (controlled, military, gliding sites, ultralight, heliports), with the runway direction
• Airfield card: runways with wind components, diagram, frequencies, METAR and TAF with a full decode
• VFR reporting points linked to their airfields (including the VFR AIP), navaids and ENR 4.4 significant points (Poland)
• Obstacles with the top altitude above sea level
• METAR/TAF weather on the map, coloured by flight category
• Chart-style base map with terrain shading and clear state borders; layers switch on and off one by one

ROUTE PLANNING
• Add the route by tapping the map; points snap to airfields and VFR points
• Enter points by ICAO code, by name with the airfield ("EPGL PAPA") or by coordinates; paste a whole route at once
• Change the route by dragging its legs on the map
• Route preview, distance, time, fuel and wind; magnetic course, distance and time of every leg
• Aircraft profiles: speed, fuel burn, reserve, climb and descent, glide ratio
• Wind triangle with the forecast wind at altitude
• Terrain profile with TOC and TOD, obstacles and a warning when the clearance drops below 500 ft
• Airspace along the route, checked against the planned altitude
• Saved routes, route reversal, flight plan (PLOG) export to PDF, links to the NOTAM briefing

IN FLIGHT
• Moving map, track up or north up
• Ground speed, track, GPS altitude, desired track, distance, time and ETA to the waypoint, cross-track error
• Heading tape with a desired track marker
• Predicted track vector for 2, 5 and 10 minutes
• Automatic detection of passed waypoints
• Direct-To and nearest airfields (NRST) always at hand
• The frequency to call where you are
• Warnings of airspace ahead: message, vibration and voice
• Fuel on board, time to reserve and a tank switch reminder
• Glide range ring for an engine failure
• Test flight on a simulated position
• Tracking continues with the screen off
• Night mode: red colours protect your night vision in the cockpit

FLIGHT LOG
• Flight history with times over the waypoints, block and landing times
• Export to CSV and GPX, flight replay

WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET
Once the aeronautical data, map and terrain are downloaded, the app works in flight without internet. The offline map and terrain are downloaded country by country. The app shows when the data was last updated and warns when it is older than an AIRAC cycle.

SUBSCRIPTION
The first 7 days are free. Then a monthly or yearly Google Play subscription, renewed automatically. Cancel at any time in Google Play; cancelling during the trial means no charge.

NO ADS, NO ACCOUNT
The app shows no ads, needs no account and does not track you. Languages: Polish and English.

The app supports a VFR pilot's situational awareness. It is not a certified means of navigation nor a source of official aeronautical information. Before every flight use the current AIP, NOTAM and official weather. The pilot is fully responsible for preparing and conducting the flight.
